SUMMARY:OASC Conference – Tampere (FI)\, 22–23 January 2025
DESCRIPTION:AI can play a pivotal role in addressing various challenges that cities and communities face today. \nTogether with the City of Tampere in Finland\, we invite you to the OASC Artificial Intelligence for Smarter Communities? conference in January 2025. This conference dives into how AI can help create smarter\, more sustainable and resilient local & regional environments and highlights current AI developments in Tampere\, the new deputy coordinator of the OASC Council of Cities. \nThe Artificial Intelligence for Smarter Communities? conference is organised in Tampere\, one of the forerunners in the digital transformation. As digital innovations continue to reshape urban environments\, enormous opportunities and various challenges arise. The city of Tampere collaborates in extensive international networks with a human-centric perspective toward a city where smart technologies and AI will increasingly enable seamless interaction between the physical and virtual worlds\, adding value to citizens’ everyday lives. Tampere is collaborating closely together with businesses\, research organisations\, communities and the members of the OASC network. Such partnerships underline the importance of inclusive\, progressive and technology-driven urban development. \nArtificial intelligence\, alongside other emerging technologies\, has the potential to greatly enhance city planning and digital services. However\, this progress comes with its own set of challenges\, including questions around sustainability\, ethics and the allocation of limited resources. These complexities make AI a key theme of this year’s conference. We invite you to join us in Tampere for this forward-looking event\, where together we can shape the cities of tomorrow. \nJoin us at the Artificial Intelligence for Smarter Communities? conference\, where thought leaders and innovators collaborate to advance cutting-edge solutions for local & regional digital transformation. In the conference\, we will look into how regional and local authorities work with technology companies\, research institutions\, citizens and key stakeholders to advance the ethical use of AI and emerging technologies. \nThe first Conference day is the community day\, where we listen to your use cases of AI\, its successes and challenges. The second day brings the insights of additional experts in the field of AI. They will engage in foresight sessions with you and host deep-dives to show you the ins and outs of current and future AI projects\, the AI Act\, procurement\, AI ethics and more. Don’t miss this opportunity to be part of the conversation shaping the smart cities of the future! \n \n CONFERENCE PAGE
