SUMMARY:Governance for Data Spaces
DESCRIPTION:Governance for Data Spaces\, 26 June 2023\, 14.00-15.30 CET\n  \nData spaces\, as defined by the Data Space Support Centre (DSSC)\, are infrastructures that enable data transactions between different data ecosystem parties based on a governance framework. Collaborative projects such as DS4SSCC\, PrepDSpace4Mobility\, GREAT\, and DATES are actively working on developing a multi-stakeholder data governance scheme with the aim of sharing large pools of data and facilitating the development of data-driven services in smart cities and communities. \nIn the context of the DSSC Insight Series\, DS4SSCC\, DATES and PrepDSpace4Mobility  are co-organizing the Governance of Data Spaces webinar that aims to bring together stakeholders from various domains to explore the governance approaches and share experiences in managing data spaces. By showcasing use-cases on sustainable mobility\, energy flow management\, pollution\, and tourism\, the webinar aims to contribute to the development of effective governance guidelines for data spaces in these domains. The speakers will provide valuable insights and foster discussions that will pave the way for the advancement of data-driven services and the sustainable development of smart cities and communities. \nThe webinar will be conducted in a format consisting of presentations followed by a Q&A session\, with a total duration of 90 minutes. The presentations will provide an overview of the governance approaches and present use-cases in their respective domains. The Q&A session will allow participants to engage in discussions and seek further clarifications. \nThe webinar targets the following groups\, as they play critical roles in the governance and development of smart cities and communities: \n\nLocal government officials and policymakers\nUrban planners and city development professionals\nIndustry representatives\nTechnology providers and solution developers\nResearchers and academics\nNGOs and advocacy groups\n\n \nRegister here

SUMMARY:Webinar on Semantics and Semantic Interoperability – Electronic Business Memorandum of Understanding (eB-MoU)
DESCRIPTION:Webinar on Semantics and Semantic Interoperability – Electronic Business Memorandum of Understanding (eB-MoU)\, 27 June 2023\, 12-15 CET\nIntroduction: \nIn today’s data-driven world\, organizations face the challenge of efficiently integrating and making sense of vast amounts of diverse data. Semantics and semantic interoperability provide a solution by enabling the meaningful interpretation and integration of data across heterogeneous systems. This 3-hour webinar aims to explore\, the significance\, anticipated benefits\, and challenges associated with semantics and semantic interoperability. Expert speakers will share their experiences and insights\, providing attendees with practical knowledge and best practices for successful implementation. \nIn this informative webinar\, participants can look forward to gaining a deep understanding of the fundamental concepts and practical applications of semantics and semantic interoperability. Attendees will learn how semantic interoperability facilitates seamless data exchange and integration across systems\, promoting efficient communication and collaboration among diverse stakeholders. \nTarget Audience: \nThis webinar is tailored for professionals\, researchers\, and decision-makers working in areas such as data management\, information technology\, artificial intelligence\, knowledge engineering\, and data integration. It is also beneficial for individuals interested in understanding the benefits and challenges associated with semantic interoperability and seeking best practices for successful implementation. \nBy participating in this webinar\, attendees will understand how semantics are created and developed\, the significance of semantic interoperability in data integration\, and the anticipated benefits of adopting semantic processes. They will also acquire practical knowledge of best practices to overcome challenges and leverage semantic interoperability to unlock the full potential of their data assets. \n  \nMore information and registration
