SUMMARY:Webinar: Digital Building Blocks for Smart Cities
DESCRIPTION:Dare to rethink your city. Be part of a Smarter Europe. \nPlease register here. \nToday\, we purchase our groceries\, book the next gym class or order a shared car service via a few swipes and taps on our phones. \nWe are increasingly more loyal to and fond of companies that enable these simple\, direct contact points. Yet\, our interactions with governments are in most cases still burdensome\, time-consuming and bureaucratic. \nGovernments\, cities and municipalities can’t stay behind this digital transformation that seamlessly connects citizens and businesses. European public administrations are striving to build Smart Cities to create smarter connections between citizens\, businesses and governments. \nThe European cities Paris\, Amsterdam and Barcelona have been named among the top 10 Smart Cities worldwide. They are transforming their urban environments through technology by using data to connect\, digitalise and make their cities future proof. \nThe European Union can help you transform your city too! \nThe European Commission\, through the CEF Digital programme\, offers eight digital services that can support your digital transformation to a smarter city.\nEvery service is free of charge\, cross-border\, open-source and standard compliant and tested. These services enable smart interactions between citizens\, businesses and public administrations.
