SUMMARY:Open Living-in.EU Supporters Meeting
DESCRIPTION:The Living-in.EU supporters meeting in April is open to all interested parties and serves as a good introduction for companies/suppliers who have not yet signed as supporters to get to know the Living-in.EU movement and understand how to engage in daily practice. The meeting specifically aims to (1) reach out to companies looking for ways to support cities in their green-digital transformation concretely by (a) responding to tenders as part of normal procurement and/or (b) validating the scale-out of data platforms and related services based on emerging local data ecosystems. It does so by (2) giving examples of how the Living-in.EU technical specifications and governance have been used in practice\, delivered by both cities and companies as well as national authorities. The meeting will also give an update and outlook on the technical roadmap of the MIMs Plus. \nAgenda\n14.00 – 14.10   Welcome \n\n\nEddy Hartog\, Head of Unit\, Technologies for Smart Communities\, European Commission\, DG CONNECT\n\n\nMartin Brynskov\, Chair\, Living-in.EU Technical Subgroup and Chair\, Open & Agile Smart Cities (OASC)\n\n\n14.10 – 14.25   State-of-play: Smart and Sustainable Cities and Communities in Europe \n\n\nPolicy update: Cristina Martinez\, Deputy Head of Unit\, Technologies for Smart Communities\, European Commission\, DG CONNECT – policies\, initiatives\, priorities\, events\n\n\nTechnical update: Status of the Living-in.EU Technical roadmap\, MIMs Plus v5: Rick Schager\, OASC\n\n\n14:30 – 15:45 Roundtable: Getting practical with MIMs Plus in Procurement\n\n\nPresenters: Andreja Lampe\, Chamber of Commerce and Industry\, Slovenia; Jan-Joost van Kan\, Atos; Bart De Lathouwer\, Rotterdam; Mikko Sierla\, Vastuu Group; Ramón Ferri\, Valencia; Mads Ockert Bonne\, KMD\n\n\nDiscussants: Anja De Cunto\, Eurocities and Big buyers for climate and environment; Beatriz Barateiro\, AIOTI; Omar Dhaher\, European Digital SME Alliance\n\n\n15:45 – 15:55 NetZeroCities \n\n\nDigital Solutions for Climate Neutrality – opportunities for Living-in.EU Supporters\, Cornelia Dinca\, OASC\n\n\n15:55 – 16:20 Next steps \n\n\nConformance and compliance: Michael Mulquin\, OASC\, & Serge Novaretti\, European Commission\n\n\nStandardisation: Martin Brynskov\, OASC\n\n\n16.20 – 16.30 Conclusion \n\n\nMartin Brynskov\, OASC\n\n\nYou can register trough the following link: https://scic.ec.europa.eu/ew/register/dgcnect/open_living_in_eu_supportes_meeting/e/lk/k/ \n

SUMMARY:Regional and local data-driven innovation through collective intelligence and sandboxing: Validation Workshop
DESCRIPTION:What role can sandboxing approaches and methodologies play in building effective local and regional data ecosystems?  \nThis is the question that OASC\, along with a consortium of partners and European cities\, has been exploring as part of the JRC ELISE Project “Regional and local data-driven innovation through collective intelligence and sandboxing”. \nThe project aims to address how “sandboxing” approaches can contribute to the development of local data ecosystems\, and address key urban challenges related to mobility\, energy\, and housing.  Here\, “sandboxing” refers to testing solutions in a safe environment\, with a focus on institutional and technical innovations to enable more efficient and effective delivery of public services through data sharing and reuse. \nThe project team is now finalizing and synthesizing the results from the sandboxing experiments in the cities of Barcelona\, Helsinki\, Milan and Poznan.    \nWe are keen to learn from the experience of other European cities and their stakeholders in using sandboxing to improve data-driven innovation\, to help validate and build on the results of our work. \nTo do this\, we have launched a short survey which will only take 10-15min to complete and is open to all stakeholders with experience with sandboxing methodologies and projects:  https://s.chkmkt.com/?e=264134&d=e&h=408E0AD10C5AED4&l=en \nWe are also hosting a workshop on April 28 to present and validate the findings. We invite all stakeholders interested in shaping data ecosystem to participate in the session. To join the workshop please register via the following link: https://us02web.zoom.us/meeting/register/tZcucuuprDIvH9z1j6XP-fMtM6dxgYuySWaX  \nFor questions or move information about the survey or workshop\, please reach out to Cornelia Dinca via cornelia@oascities.org
