SUMMARY:SPACE4Cities Webinar: How can cities and regions access Copernicus Data Space Ecosystem (CDSE) and Copernicus Contributing Mission (CCM) data – Online\, 22 January 2026
DESCRIPTION:Join this webinar to discover how your city or region can turn open satellite data into actionable insights for smarter\, more resilient decision-making! \nParticipants will learn how to explore and analyse satellite data directly in the browser\, generate and share their own data products\, and understand which premium datasets and computing capacity are available exclusively to public authorities at no cost. The session will also highlight how Copernicus data can support key local priorities such as urban planning\, climate adaptation\, air quality\, and risk management. \nCities and regions play a vital role in addressing climate\, environmental\, and resilience challenges—and Copernicus satellite data offers a powerful\, free resource to support that mission. This webinar provides a clear and practical introduction for public authorities on how to access and use data through the Copernicus Data Space Ecosystem (CDSE)—the EU’s central platform for accessing and processing Copernicus satellite data in the cloud—and the Copernicus Contributing Missions (CCM)\, which provide additional high-resolution satellite data to complement the core Copernicus missions. \n \n VIEW THE AGENDA AND REGISTER HERE

SUMMARY:OASC Conference 2026 – Fundão (Portugal)\, 28-29 January 2026
DESCRIPTION:The OASC Conference 2026 is the flagship annual event of the Open & Agile Smart Cities & Communities (OASC) network — a growing community of over 180 cities and regions across more than 35 countries\, committed to building more open\, interoperable and human-centric digital solutions for urban development. \nBuilding on a decade of experience\, the OASC Conference continues to evolve\, reflecting the needs and ambitions of its member cities and partners. From early discussions on interoperability and minimal interoperability mechanisms (MIMs) to current dialogues around AI\, data sovereignty and funding impact\, each edition has contributed to a stronger ecosystem of collaboration\, trust and practical action. \nSince its foundation in 2015\, OASC has worked to empower local and regional governments to take control of their digital transformation through practical and standards-based approaches. At the heart of this mission is the belief that digital innovation must serve cities and communities and foster collaboration across borders and sectors. \nThe OASC Conference has become the key meeting point for public administrators\, policymakers\, technologists\, researchers and innovators who are driving this transformation. Over the years\, the conference has travelled across Europe — from Brussels to Rotterdam and Tampere in 2025 — each edition deepening the conversation and strengthening partnerships around shared digital building blocks. \n \n\n\n\n\n\n\nA unique focus for 2026: Funding as a driver of transformation\nThe 2026 edition of the OASC Conference will take place in Fundão\, Portugal  and will explore how funded projects — from European programmes such as Horizon Europe\, Digital Europe and Interregional Innovation Investments\, to national and regional initiatives — are shaping the future of digital public services and infrastructure. \nParticipants will have the opportunity to: \n\nLearn from successful and ongoing projects driving digital transformation across cities and regions.\nShare practical insights on project design\, implementation\, and sustainability.\nDiscover how to align local strategies with national and European policy goals.\nConnect with peers and potential partners for future collaboration.\n\nWe invite you to be part of this journey in 2026 — to share your experience\, shape the conversation\, and help define the future of open and agile digital transformation in Europe and beyond! \n\n\n\n \n REGISTER HERE
