Amsterdam, the Netherlands: Open Innovation and real-world challenges: The Amsterdam Action Camp for Societal Innovation aims to develop breakthrough ideas and insights through an entrepreneurial discovery process in an open innovation context. The Camp brings together people from different backgrounds and expertise to work together actively and focused for three days. Facilitators guide the teams through a self-organizing work process to define new ideas and design a follow-through process to take the best ideas from post-it to prototype to project after the Camp.
The Camp will address five real-world challenges, which are brought by the European Commission’s DG Connect, Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences, and the European Committee of the Regions.
The Amsterdam Action Camp addresses the following challenges:
- e-Platforms as business model innovation enablers
- How to measure and model the impact of open innovation
- Role of creativity & design in industry
- Societal Innovation Camps for regional challenges
- Citizen Dialogue and Engagement
The Amsterdam Action Camp is organized with the support of Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences, the European Committee of the Regions, DG Connect, OISPG, the New Club of Paris, and International Initiatives for Societal Innovation (I2SI).
