Running from 1 August to 31 October 2026, the pilots will demonstrate how trusted and interoperable data spaces can support communities in addressing concrete urban challenges. Their activities cover predictive traffic management and sustainable mobility, weather and climate services, zero-pollution actions, and the New European Bauhaus.
While the eleven existing DS4SSCC pilots are demonstrating their data space use cases over a period of 16 to 18 months, the seven new pilots will work within a focused three-month timeframe. This fourth round places a stronger emphasis on replication, scalability and cross-border collaboration. Several projects will build on solutions developed during previous DS4SSCC pilot rounds, extending them to new locations and demonstrating how existing data space infrastructure and services can be reused across different municipal contexts.
