Webinar – The Climate-Neutral and Sustainable Smart Cities Horizon Europe

Cities account for more than 70% of global carbon emissions. By 2050, nearly 70% of the global population will be living in cities, up from 50% today. As city populations grow, the demand for services but also pressure on resources is increasing. This demand has a major impact on energy, water, waste, mobility and any other service that is essential to ensure a city’s prosperity and sustainability. A coordinated and synergistic approach is needed to maximise the impact of climate-neutral and sustainable smart cities efforts and allow the several technological and policy-related challenges to be properly addressed.

The Climate-neutral and Sustainable Smart Cities Horizon Europe webinar is gathering top experts from the European Commission, industry and academia to present and discuss how energy-efficient technologies, mechanisms, and policies must be put in place at several levels to ensure green digital transformation and the recovery of our society and economy.

Join the OASC Chair of the Board of Directors, Martin Brynskov, at the webinar, when relevant Horizon Europe initiatives will be presented.
