The first workshop of the COP-CITIES in 2020 is dedicated to “Scaling up Smart and Sustainable Cities”, with the ambition to discuss how smart cities can effectively contribute to Europe’s climate and environmental objectives embedded in the European Green Deal. The focus will be on scaling up successful use cases, working with locally or regional embedded city labs, fab lab or innovation labs to that end and exploring how city data can facilitate measuring and monitoring progress.
The Community of Practice for Cities (CoP-CITIES) is an initiative of the European Commission, embedded in the Knowledge Centre for Territorial Policies, to improve information sharing and enhance collaborative work among relevant stakeholders on urban issues.
