On 13 October 2026, OASC launches its new Knowledge Exchange Webinar series with a conversation on AI & Ethics, bringing together cities, practitioners, researchers and industry to explore how artificial intelligence can be developed and used responsibly in our communities.
About the webinar
AI is moving fast and so are the questions around how we use it responsibly, transparently and in ways that serve our communities.
Rather than looking for all the answers, this Knowledge Exchange Webinar creates space to ask the right questions, compare perspectives and learn from practical experiences already taking place across Europe.
With contributions from cities, research, civil society and industry, the session will connect the broader ethical debate around AI with the realities of implementing and governing these technologies in cities and communities.

The webinar will last approximately 60 minutes, combining short contributions from our speakers with an interactive discussion and Q&A.
What we will discuss
What does responsible AI look like in practice for cities and communities?
Throughout the session, we will explore different perspectives on AI ethics, including responsible AI governance, transparency and trust, inclusiveness, citizen needs and the practical challenges that arise when emerging technologies move from experimentation into real-world use.
The conversation will draw on experiences from cities and initiatives working directly with AI, Local Digital Twins and the CitiVerse, ensuring that the discussion goes beyond theory and connects ethical questions with concrete implementation.

For our first session, we invite you to join the conversation on AI & Ethics — from big questions to shared understanding.
