With IoT Week Geneva drawing close, we want to invite you all to the full day co-organised workshop by Open & Agile Smart Cities (OASC) and SynchroniCity on June 6, 9:00 – 18:00.
The IoT Week is a non-commercial community driven conference, and will gather top experts, innovators and stakeholders in the Internet of Things. It is the place where emerging IoT technologies, strategies and policies are discussed, and partnerships are developed. Attendees come from all around the world. Media leaders, entrepreneurs, executives, investors, academia, bloggers and public figures will gather to share experiences, ideas and projects. The SynchroniCity and OASC workshop will allow participants to connect, network and learn from a strong lineup of experts and frontrunner cities. The full day workshop will consist of the following sessions:

09:00 – 10:45 Leading Examples of IoT-Enabled Smart Cities

The first workshop session will provide a strong city-perspective on the topic of IoT-Enabled Smart Cities. Using the examples of front-runner cities, participants will have access to unique insights from their experiences with smart city work and learn new guiding principles that can be implemented.

11:15 – 13:00 International IoT Platforms for Smart Cities Initiatives

The presenters of this workshop session are representative of a strong mix of global initiatives and SDOs working within the smart city arena. Join this session to learn about the presenting organisations’ perspectives and discussions on commons frameworks, applications and technologies across cities and regions.

14:00 – 15:45 Breakout Discussion Groups on Convergence within the topics of Platform Integration and Interoperability, Personal Data Protection Strategy and Standardisation Strategy.

The three breakout sessions will provide an opportunity to join in key discussions surrounding the three topics. Each discussion group will be co-moderated by two experts within that field.

16:15 – 18:00 Towards Interoperability and Convergence among IoT Platforms for Smart Cities

The final panel session will begin with a short reporting from the previous discussion groups. Following this, there will be a moderated panel discussion on the topics of interoperability and convergence. Finally, participants will be provided the opportunity to engage with and question the panel.

We hope to see you all in Geneva. See the detailed programme below.
