The Open & Agile Smart Cities (OASC) initiative organises this year’s OASC Annual Summit & General Assembly in Brussels, on Wednesday 14 June 2023, alongside the Brussels Urban Summit. OASC is a global network of over 170 cities and communities in more than 30 countries that aims to facilitate the sustainable digital development of cities around the world. It stimulates and facilitates knowledge exchange about and co-creation of digital solutions from an inclusive and citizen-centered angle. The main focus lies on developing digital standards, the so-called minimal interoperable mechanisms (MIMs) for digital tools.

The OASC Annual Summit aims to foster knowledge exchange and cooperation between OASC members and stakeholders, such as politicians, researchers and industry partners and to reflect on societal challenges from a digital and local perspective. More than 100 stakeholders in the field of smart cities and communities, data spaces, AI and standards will attend this year’s OASC Annual Summit. The General Assembly, in the afternoon, is a formal and closed session for members only and tackles the internal organisation of the network. The (evolving) agenda of the whole day is available here.
