OASC Council of Cities (CoC) is opening the call for applications for the role of Deputy Coordinator, inviting OASC member cities and communities to take an active leadership role within the network.

The Council of Cities represents the member cities and communities of OASC and is one of the network’s two steering bodies, alongside the Governing Body. Together, these bodies help shape the strategic direction of OASC, ensuring that the voice of cities remains at the centre of decision-making.

The CoC is currently chaired by the coordinating city, Aarhus (Denmark), with Tampere (Finland) serving as Deputy Coordinator. Both roles are elected from among OASC members for a two-year term.

Working closely with the Coordinator, the Deputy Coordinator helps guide the work of the Council of Cities, co-convenes meetings and contributes to defining the network’s priorities and agenda. The Deputy Coordinator also steps in when the Coordinator is unavailable and supports collaboration across the OASC community.

This is an excellent opportunity for a committed OASC member to help shape the future of the network, strengthen collaboration with fellow cities and communities and contribute to the global sustainable digital transformation.

Applications are open until 5 June 2026. Candidates will also be invited to give a short online pitch during the Council of Cities meeting on 16 June 2026.
