SynchroniCity, one of the European Internet of Things (IoT) Large Scale Pilots, has launched its € 3 Million open call. SMEs, cities and large business will have the opportunity to demonstrate mature IoT-enabled solutions in the eight core partner cities – Antwerp, Carouge, Eindhoven, Helsinki, Manchester, Milan, Porto, and Santander. The call will be open until 30 September 2018.
Martin Brynskov, SynchroniCity project lead and coordinator, Professor at Aarhus University and Chair of OASC, said: “The 3M€ open call will put the hard work of all project members to a real-life test. We are excited to see the mature solutions the applicants will bring to the mainstream, large scale market to address the challenges we have defined with the eight core partner cities representing 11 million citizens.”

IoT LSP Programmes help bring Europe’s best IoT innovations to the market
Set up in 2016 the EU-funded IoT Large Scale Pilots Programme comprises a total of five innovation consortia, working hand in hand to foster the take up of Internet of Things in various sectors in Europe and beyond.
With a total budget of € 10 Million for standards-based innovation and procurement, the IoT Large Scale Pilot Programme represents an ambitious catalyst for mainstream adoption of IoT-enabled services for key sectors, while also addressing the emerging cross-application needs for security, privacy and interoperability.
